What is this all about?
On February 4th we are having a visit from Lindsay Dunn, who is the England Programmes Officer and AASE Technical Lead with the ASA. She will be providing an education session for parents in the conference room at Repton.
While you are in the conference room with Lindsay, the swimmers will be in the sports hall with Aaron Wiles (England Programmes S&C coach) learning a land program that will be implemented with the club for strength, stability, mobility, injury prevention and physical literacy. With the help from Aaron, CoD will have a progressive land program for the full spectrum of age and ability within our club. What a great means for our swimmers to enter 2017 with the tools to help take the next step in their swimming.
The demonstration from Aaron will teach the swimmers how to properly perform each exercise and the ‘why’ behind it. We are very fortunate to have this opportunity and expect the swimmers to be in attendance so they are ready to immediately apply the program into their daily training environment.
4:30-6:00pm Parent Talk with Lindsay
4:15-5:00pm Land program demonstration for Midland Gold, National, Seniors, Masters and Elite
5:00-5:45pm Land program demonstration for Cool Crocs Nemos, Dev1, Mid Dev and Midland
6:00-8:00pm Midland, and Mid Dev will swim at Repton with our full staff of coaches on hand to make this a fun workout
~6:30-8:00pm Dev1 to swim at Bramcote – see further communication from coach Mark!
*We will have staff on hand to run activities with the swimmers while you are in the talk and they are waiting for their land program to start.
*Swimmers will need to have proper gym attire on for their land demonstration.
We very much look forward to seeing you there!
