Swim-A-Thon 2017 in support of Mel Marshall’s Zambia Project
We are excited to run a Swim-a-Thon event for our members to raise funds for an important cause. Mel Marshall and Adam Peaty embarked on the #Zambia5050 challenge this August to raise 50,000 for those in need through 50 hours of sport. Their efforts resulted in great success for the project! Now it is our turn to show support.
On December 29th we challenge ourselves to 12 hours of swimming and fundraising at Repton School. All squads and members are invited to take part and can enter as a team or individual. The day begins at 8:00am with each team required to have at least one swimmer in the pool completing laps. Over the following 12 hours the teams can alternate swimmers, but must have an active participant at all times. Activities and fundraising events will be made available throughout the day to provide what will be a full day of fun. Our time in the pool ends at 8:00pm and a tally of the total metres completed will be published and celebrated for a job well done!
Come have a blast with your friends, meet new members, make a difference and create memories through sport. We hope to see you there!
See attached for further details or email Mandy at firstname.lastname@example.org to join the parent and coach team! Yes, that’s right, we can all participate!
