City of Derby Sponsorship
The City of Derby is Derbyshire’s Premier Swimming Club with over 500 members. We compete on the local, regional and national stage and draw extensive media coverage from newspapers, radio and TV. For more details, see about us.
Each year we host three major ASA licensed meets which draw swimmers from all across the UK. We also take great pride in our work with the local community and our development programme, designed to encourage swimmers of all abilities to enter a competitive environment with enjoyment being the main focus.
Why do we need help from sponsors?
We are a non-profit-making club run by volunteers. All fees and sponsorship money are re-invested into the club for the provision of pool time, equipment and travel. The club is seeking to raise funds via sponsors who share our goals of nurturing Derby’s fantastic wealth of talent and helping to develop Britain’s future Olympians.
Why should I sponsor the City of Derby?
By sponsoring our club, you or your business can increase the awareness of your brand (name/logo) and the products/services that you can offer in your local (or wider) community. Sponsoring is not only a very cost effective way to market your services/products but also increases your profile in a positive way.
What does it cost to sponsor the club?
Sponsorship packages can be tailored to suit the budget of the business or individual and the cost of sponsoring may be a lot less than you think. Please see our standard packages below.
Partner £negotiable
This is the prime opportunity to share in our success and link your brand to one of the top swimming clubs in England. This package provides:
- Exclusive* rights to your brand on our club kit (track suits, T-shirts, hoodies, kit bags). Everywhere we go, we wear our club kit with pride
- Your brand on our website and blog as recognised partner to the City of Derby Swimming Club with links to your website
- Your brand would be highlighted as our partner in the City of Derby ‘Roll of Honour’ of Club benefactors
- Your brand highlighted as our partner on all formal City of Derby communications, e.g., newsletters.
You could also benefit from the increased marketing and awareness of your brand by being associated with our high profile swim meets on the British ASA calendar. The promotional opportunities include:
- Advertising space within the event programme
- Space for your brand in the pool facilities on the day itself, i.e., display of banners and brand on electronic display boards
- Public Address announcements
- Distribution of sponsor promotional material
- Your brand on any Club merchandise associated with the event
- Your brand on the ribbons for the individual event medals.
*Exclusivity – NB., only one business from each profession/trade will be allowed to sponsor the club, thus locking out your competitors.
Gold Supporter £TBC
This package provides:
- Your brand on our website and blog as a City of Derby supporter, with links to your website
- Your brand would be highlighted as a Gold Supporter in the City of Derby ‘Roll of Honour’ of Club benefactors
- Your brand highlighted as supporter on all formal City of Derby communications, e.g., newsletters.
You could also benefit from the increased marketing and awareness of your brand by being associated with our high profile swim meets on the British ASA calendar. The promotional opportunities include:
- Advertising space within the event programmes
- Space for your brand in the pool facilities on the day itself, i.e., display of banners and brand on electronic display boards

Silver Supporter £TBC
This package provides:
- Your brand on our website and blog as a City of Derby with links direct to your website
- Your brand would be highlighted as a Silver Supporter in the City of Derby ‘Roll of Honour’ of Club benefactors
You could also benefit from the increased marketing and awareness of your brand by being associated with our high profile swim meets on the British ASA calendar. The promotional opportunities include:
- Advertising space within the event programmes
- Space for your brand in the pool facilities on the day itself, i.e., display of banners and brand on electronic display boards
Bronze Supporter £TBC
This package provides:
- Your brand on our website and blog as a City of Derby supporter with links direct to your website
- Your brand would be highlighted as a Bronze Supporter in the City of Derby ‘Roll of Honour’ of Club benefactors
- Sponsorship of two Club Championship races.
Club Patron: £nn
This package is primarily intended for individuals, e.g., supporters, family and friends. Your name would be mentioned on the City of Derby website in our ‘Roll of Honour’ of Club benefactors. The package also includes sponsorship of one Club Championship race.
