Note from the organisers:

I am writing to you as someone who has either entered the Nottingham Northern Junior Open in the past, or is listed as a swimming club secretary.

I can now announce that entries are open for the 42nd Nottingham Northern Junior Open. This will be held again at Harvey Hadden Sports Village in Nottingham on Sunday 24th June 2018. The event is licenced by the ASA at level 3 – licence number 3EM181039. The gala will be held in an 8-lane 25m pool and we have exclusive use of the entire pool area so competitors will be able to use the areas around the two pools throughout the day.

As in previous years the competition will be open to swimmers aged 9-14 on the day, with events in all four strokes at 50m and the 100m Individual Medley. Trophies will be awarded to the top 6 swimmers for each event in each age group; the IM being decided by Heat Declared Winners and all the other events featuring 8-lane finals.

Entries are priced at £5.00 per event and will be accepted on a first come, first-served basis if the meet is oversubscribed. The closing date is Saturday 26th May 2018 but I would advise submitting your entries earlier to avoid disappointment.

A full information pack, poster for your notice board and entry forms (in pdf and xls format as well as a Sportsystems Entry File Set) are available here:

Michelle Hammond ( will be organising the officials at this event, so will be keen to hear from you if you can volunteer your services for all or part of the day.
