Membership of City of Derby

Application

Smimmers wishing to join the City of Derby Swimming Club must apply for a 'trial'. This will ensure that they join the most appropriate Squad for both their age and ability. Trials evenings are conducted on a regular basis where swimmers are assessed by a qualified Coach.

Fees

Membership of the City of Derby Swimming Club is paid for by an Annual Membership Charge, and Monthly Squad Coaching Fees.

The Annual Membership is due on joining the Club and renewed thereafter in January each year. This annual charge includes the Registration Fee which the Club pays to the ASA. Full details on our Membership Form.

Squad Coaching Fees are due at the beginning of every month that you are a Swimming Member, regardless of how often you actually swim. Please pay promptly by one of the following three methods:

1. By Standing Order and take advantage of our prompt payment discount rates. Complete the Standing Order Form and send DIRECT TO YOUR BANK. This is very much our preferred method of payment as it helps to ease the burden of fee collection.
   
   
2. Post a cheque to our Membership Secretary. If sent before the 7th of the month in which it is due this can also be at the discounted rate, (this will be checked!). After the 7th of the month the higher fee should be paid. This ensures that members not wishing to pay by Standing Order are not penalised, providing they pay promptly.
   
   
3. On the poolside by cheque or cash. Only the higher fee should be paid on the poolside. Please write swimmers name on the reverse of cheques and make payable to City of Derby Swimming Club, (CODSC is acceptable). Please try and pay by Standing Order.
