Today saw the formal launch of a massive new sponsorship deal and partnership for the Club with Huub Design, Derby. To mark the occasion a group of swimmers, coaches and parents made the short walk from Queens Leisure Centre to the Huub Shop on Full Street to celebrate the launch with Huub owner Dean Jackson. Also present was City of Derby’s own Ross Davenport, representing Finis Swim who are also supporting the Club.
Dean welcomed the swimmers and announced his own intentions to build on the huge success Huub have achieved in Triathlon (Huub already support the world’s top triathletes, including the Brownlee brothers) to move into open water and pool swimming. And there was a great deal of interest from the swimmers in the new Fina approved Huub race suits which have taken their place in the shop amongst the established Huub tri suits and Boardman Bikes.
A huge thank you must again go to Talsa Middleton, who has put in so much hard work into the formation of the partnership. And it was great to see so many swimmers from all squads, Cool Crocs to National, including Paralympic medalist Lewis White, support the event.
Here are some of the photographs from the day.
